Eligibility criteria

Nominations must meet these criteria:

  • Best Production Company must produce an announced season of at least 3 full length main stage productions each year. Theatre Production Companies are encouraged to publicly announce their performances (or notify the The ACE Award Show) at least two (2) months in advance to allow the committee enough time to arrange their attendance schedules.

  • Reviews and compilations of one-acts shall be eligible if they are commercially available (licensed) and traditionally presented in that format.

  • Productions classified as pornography or rated X are not eligible.

  • Productions classified as Children’s Theatre, Dinner Theatre, Church Plays, Staged Readings and One-Act Compilations may be used to meet the ACE criteria if they are presented as part of a theatre’s regular main stage season.

  • Nominee must not have appeared previously on the ballot for the same role in the same production, unless the production was publicly performed in a subsequent year.

NOMIN- ATION BULLET POINTS

  • Awards year nominations are open from January 12th through February 15th.

  • Forms must be filled out completely and submitted by deadline. NO EXCEPTIONS!

  • All nominations will be reviewed and finalists selected by March 15th.

  • Selected nominees are required to accept the nomination in order to be a finalist and be placed on the Official Ballot for public voting.

Nomination Process

**Officially begins on January 12, 2023**

OPEN NOMINATIONS (January 12, 2023 –  February 15, 2023)

  • Submit/nominate yourself, your client or your favorite performing artist using the online Nomination Form at https://www.theaceawards.show/.

  • Only one (1) nomination per nominee is necessary in each category. The nomination period is not a voting period and multiple entries for the same production/category will not increase your chances of winning.

  • Please complete the online Nomination Form including website and/or social media information, links to view the performance or production online and upload a picture of the person or flyer of the production you have nominated.

  • These online entries must contain accurate information in each field and the nominees and/or productions MUST have performed or been performed publicly during the eligibility period.

  • Please use the highest level of discretion when determining the number of entries to submit. Remember that entering the same nominee for multiple productions in the same category may split the vote for that nominee during the voting process.

  • If you have not fully submitted your entries through the ACE Awards website by the cut-off dates, your entries WILL NOT be processed. Calls, emails or text messages to the staff, Board of Directors, Advisors or Ambassadors or Nominating Committee requesting extensions WILL NOT be honored.​

  • All nominees must accept their nomination in order to be placed on the ballot.  Therefore it is of the utmost importance that we have up-to-date and correct contact information submitted on the Nomination Form.  If you need to update your information after your submission, please email us at theaceawardsshow@gmail.com.

NOMINATION QUALIFICATION AND ACCEPTANCE (February 16, 2023 –  March 14, 2023)

  • The ACE Award Show Nominating Committee (AASNC) will get in touch with the nominee to verify information submitted and to collect any information that was not provided on the Nomination Form.

  • Each nominee must verify the spelling of their name, production and/or performing arts company as well as all contact information.  As the nomination process is an anonymous one, we must rely on each nominee for this verification.

  • Corrections to information on the official ballot is not possible, therefore it is of the utmost importance that each nominee verifies all information with us.

  • The AASNC will qualify each nomination to ensure that it is eligible, placed in the appropriate category and otherwise adheres to the eligibility guidelines and rules of the ACE Awards.

  • The artist needs to accept the nomination during the Nomination Acceptance Period to be considered for placement on the ballot. Failure to respond to the AASNC in the allotted time will result in disqualification.

  • The AASNC makes every attempt to contact nominees.  However, if we receive incomplete or incorrect contact information we may not be able to do so.

  • Finalists must be present at the ACE Awards Show on June 17th, 2023 to win.  Please do not accept your nomination if you can not attend.

Public Voting Process

**Officially begins on March 15, 2023**

PUBLIC VOTING (March 15, 2023 –  April 30, 2023)

  • We will officially announce the finalists and that the ballot is open for voting on https://www.theaceawards.show/ and Facebook page.

  • Go to https://www.theaceawards.show/ to cast your vote during the voting period.

  • Anyone who is deemed as using any software to artificially increase the number of votes will be disqualified if they are a finalist and any finalist who’s votes have been artificially increased will also be disqualified, regardless of whether they condoned the use of said artificial means or not.

Vote Qualification

  • The AASNC tallys and qualifies the votes.

  • The AASNC decides the winners and runners up.
