ABOUT

The NIFPA (National Independent Filmmakers & Playwrights Alliance) Film Festival is a celebration of black written/produced or black focused films. The NIFPA Film Festival is a year-long film festival with public screenings almost every month.

The NIFPA Film Festival is a year-long film festival.  We have public showings almost every month and an awards ceremony each year in June.

In our inaugural year we are accepting short films (45 min or less) in two categories: Narrative and Documentary.

Look for us to expand eligibility to feature-length films and additional categories in the years to come.

Want to help?

We’ve got space for screeners, administrators, event organizers, sound and lighting technicians, videographers, photographers, video editors, graphic designers, web designers, social media managers and many other spots as well!
